To be listed on the nurse Alabama nurse aide registry on must complete and pass an Alabama state approved CNA training and competency program  Individuals must pass the written and skills test.

Verify Your Alabama CNA Certification
To verify you  CNA certification in Alabama you must call or Check the registry site.  You will have to have your Social Security number ready because this is also your certification number.

Alabama CNA Certification Renewal
To remain on the Alabama CNA registry, you must renew your certification every 24 months.  You will only be eligible if you have worked as a CNA  for at least 8 hours for pay  Within the two year period.  Individuals who do not met the requirements will be required to retrain and retest, before being able to be listed on the registry again.

Transferring Your CNA Certification to Alabama
If you are certified in another state as a certified nursing assistant you are able to transfer your CNA certification to the Alabama Nurse aide Registry.

Transferring your certification to Alabama must be done according to the state policies.  CNAs must first apply for a position at a nursing home.
