Students need to be aware of what the CNA training in Alaska consists of before deciding to enroll.  They need to know all of the necessary state requirements and the content of the classes.  These requirements are implemented in accordance of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987.

The certified nursing assistant programs offer study material and structured training that students will meet on a regular basis throughout the program.  Training may consist of learning tasks such as moving about patients, providing sufficient documentation and activities provided of day-to-day life.

In order to receive your certification students must:

  • Complete a state approved NA training program consisting of at least 140 hours
  • Pass both written and skill examination
  • Must Submit fingerprint Cards for Alaska and have a federal background check

Several of the states examinations are comparable to each other. However, the students preferably will need to concentrate on the provided study guide or the subject list for the state of Alaska.  These are generally provided by the Class provider.

The Alaska CNA exam to may be challenging but not impossible. By paying attention in class, reviewing your assignments and notes, studying and preparing before you go, your opportunity of success is highly increased.

Before you register for the courses make sure that you understand the emotional demands first. Its essential that those entering this career path have a patience of different kinds of individuals, and a passion to help others who may be ill or disabled.
