Ohio CNA Training

If you have attained CNA training in the past, the state of Ohio may allow you to utilize an accelerated route to the certified nursing assistant certification. However, the guidelines for job seekers whom are completely new to Ohio CNA training are not numerous. Applicants need to have no criminal records, have proof of recent immunization, have obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be 18 years or above. The state of Ohio requires that the nurse aide training course has three part test at the culmination of their study.

Approved CNA training courses in Ohio require students to take a mandatory 75 hours of education. Of that, 16 hours must be dedicated to clinical studies training. While enrolled, the Ohio Department of Health allows students to work for a maximum of four months as nursing assistants. After that, you have to take and complete the Ohio CNA exam. You have to be actively enrolled at an CNA training program to be eligible to take this exam, which is required for licensing. Taking the NA exam in Ohio also requires you to pay mandatory fees.

If the Ohio NA certification exam is not passed on the first attempt, you can try to attain a passing grade two more times. After that, you will have to wait until a full 24 months have passed since your initial attempt. With the completion of CNA training and certification, you can seek employment freely within the state.
