Texas CNA Training

Students training for Texas CNA certification must complete a minimum of 75 hours of training, which generally includes about 51 hours in the classroom and the remaining 24 or so out in the field, typically at a hospital, nursing home or continuing care facility.  Once your hours are completed, you may start looking for a state testing site.

Texas CNA training rules mandate that you pass both a written and skills section of a state exam. Upon successful completion, your name will be added to the Texas Nurse Aide Registry. If you’re looking to embark on an enriching and rewarding career path, CNA classes can get you on track toward a satisfying new profession.

The certified nursing assistant in Texas will respect the rights of each resident by promoting and maintaining the dignity of each resident under their care.  CNA students gain an understanding of the responsibilities involved in working with those of all ages, together with wellness and those with illness, issues of mental health, residents rights, and resident/family interactions.
