There is a free CNA course offered by the Wilmington Job Corps to students who are between sixteen and twenty-four years old.

This is one of the health care facilities that have been known to employee CNA’s and then pay for them to complete their training at another facility. This is not something that is done on a regular basic however when they are in need of new employees they tend to take this route.

Those who live in Delaware may get free CNA training through different programs if you qualify, such as the Displaced Homemakers Program, The Workforce Investment act (wia) and through the Job Corps.

Generally to qualify for free CNA classes in Delaware individuals must be in need of training services to re-enter labor force. One must also have skills that are no longer in demand; have low wage job skills; or little or no work history.

Delaware certified nursing assistants must be tactful and able to work in sometimes unpleasant circumstances. They need to be bodily able to stand or walk for long periods of time and lift patients and supplies when needed.

Students taking nurse aide training in Delaware will learn to assist in transporting residents in wheelchairs and ambulation with walkers and canes, Bed making and keeping resident belongings neat and organized, and Infection control and safety awareness.

The training provider financial Aid Office will assist students in every effort possible by helping students obtain resources or opportunities to pay for their education.
