The VNS program that is offered at the South County Hospital offers free certified nursing aid training to students. The best part about going through this program is they do not require you to work at a particular facility instead they allow you work wherever you like they just suggest that you work at the South County Hospital since you would be guaranteed a job there
The Free CNA training in Rhode Island prepares students to pass the state’s exam.  Students receive classroom and hands-on instruction by a Registered Nurse.

Rhode Island has a state funded grant similar to the workforce investment act that tries to retrain people who have become redundant or who lack the necessary skills to get an in demand job.
