Home Health Aide
Most of the free home health aide training in Alabama combine the certified nursing assistant course, in order to make the process run smoother.  These classes will provides the student with the necessary theory and laboratory experiences for the development of skills essential to qualify as a long-term care Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide.

During the free home health aide training process the students will observe how they can carry out the skill tasks. The Students will then be shadowed by the instructor and will need to perform the skills that they have learned.  Some of the skills that you will learn to perform are:

  • The Introduction of the professional care giving functions
  • Basic physiological needs of patients
  • Communication Skills
  • Client Rights
  • Infection Control
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Safety transfers skills and ambulation
  • Proper Body Mechanics and positioning 

As you complete the certification program, you are then qualified to take the Nursing Assistant state assessment exam. This component has 3 parts, which includes the written, oral and clinical examination.
