Most home health agencies in Colorado require home health aides to be certified nurse aides. Home health aides in Colorado whose employers get Medicare funds, must successfully pass a test. The home health aide training programs for this exam vary in length, but the federal law suggests that the classes include at least 75 hours of combined classroom instruction and practical training, which is supervised by a registered nurse.
