Home Health Aide
The Home Care Aide training in North Carolina focuses on enhancing specific skills needed when working in a home setting including person center care, patient and personal safety, hydration/nutrition, mental health, dementia, behavioral changes, and pain management.

Upon completion of the home health aide training in North Carolina, the student is awarded a Community College certificate, and is eligible for listing on the Home Care Nurse Aide Registry with Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR), and can pursue employment.

Although individuals who are certified nursing assistants in the state can work as a home health aide.  Some of the agencies that employ you may require that you have additional training, but this is most often offered on the job.

When it comes down to jobs in the state, you will never run out of choices as North Carolina is filled with plenty of employment opportunities.  In fact there are a steady increase in the career opportunities for health care workers especially home health aides.
