Home Health Aide
In Tennessee a home health aide is defined as an individual who has completed a total of seventy-five (75) hours of training that includes a minimum of at least sixteen clinical hours of training education prior to or during the first three (3) months of employment.  Home health aides are those who are qualified to provide basic services, including simple healthcare procedures such as an extension of therapy services, and personal care skills regarding the nutritional needs of clients, ambulation and exercise, and housekeeping services that are vital to health care at home.

In Tennessee home health aides are assigned to a particular patient by a registered nurse of that company. HHAs will be given written instructions for patient care and will be prepared by a registered nurse or therapist as appropriate.

As long as you meet the Tennessee home health aide requirements, everybody has a fair chance in finding a job in the state.  Home health care agencies are often on the lookout for those who have good bedside manners and posses the skills to provide clients with the up most care.
