The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) training in Kansas is designed to provide students with a comprehensive training programs that will launch them into the healthcare medical career field. It is also planned to help participants gain more work alternatives, while at the same time help them climb up the career ladder.

Upon completion of the Patient Care Assistant classes in Kansas the students  will obtain certificates in the following areas:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Nutritional Feeding
  • Home Health Aide
  • CPR
  • Career readiness classes

The training focuses on producing competent, skilled and compassionate patient care technicians.  The classes will not only provide the education, but, will also give you the clinical skills that are necessary to gain successful employment.  Often times the class sizes are small to ensure that all students will get the education needed to help them pass the state exam.

What a patient care technician in Kansas does in the course of their job depends on where they are employed.  This could be a local area hospital, convalescent facility, doctors office and even a clinic. Their work is often hygienic in nature, take and record vital signs and anything else that is related to patient care.
